Privacy

Sample template. This page describes what this software does with data and orders, as shipped. It is not legal advice: the store operator adapts it to their business and jurisdiction, and has it reviewed, before going live.

What we store

  • Your account: name, email address, the date you confirmed it, and a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself). With Google sign-in, the name, email and profile picture Google shares.
  • The delivery addresses you save, including the phone number and delivery instructions you enter.
  • Your orders: dishes, amounts, delivery address, payment method and status.
  • Reviews you post, with your name and rating. Reviews are published after staff approve them.

Payments

Card payments go through Stripe Checkout. You enter your card on Stripe's page; Farro never receives or stores card numbers. We keep the Stripe payment reference so refunds can be made.

Services that process data for us

  • Sanity stores the catalogue, accounts, addresses, orders and reviews.
  • Stripe processes card payments and refunds.
  • Resend delivers the email that confirms a new account.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile may ask for a security check after repeated failed sign-ins.
  • Upstash keeps short-lived counters, keyed by email address or IP address, to limit repeated attempts.
  • Google, if you choose to sign in with it.

Cookies and browser storage

A session cookie keeps you signed in. Your cart is saved in your browser's local storage until you order or empty it. We use no advertising or analytics cookies.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings. Your account and saved addresses are deleted at once and your reviews are shown as from a former customer. Orders are kept for accounting, unlinked from you; the name, email and delivery address on them are removed 7 years after the order was placed.
